Christchurch Park has many fine and well-maintained sports and leisure facilities, the locations of which you can find on our interactive Park Map (under the Park menu). Alternatively, from the same menu, choose “More to see”, which will allow you to click directly on the venue you want to find on the map.

Tennis:

The Tennis Courts, located in the Lower Arboretum, have been resurfaced under a £142,500 grant from the Lawn Tennis Association, so we now have five extremely fine courts to play on. There will be no charge for casual play, and The Friends have been assured that at least two courts will be available for the public at all times, even when Ipswich Sports Club is delivering its programme of coaching. This coaching programme is a co-operative venture between Ipswich Sports Club and Ipswich Borough Council. Some sessions will be free, some charged. To find out more, visit ipswichparktennis.co.uk.

Table Tennis:

Funded by various organsations around Ipswich, including the council, from Spring 2014 two table tennis tables have been open to the public near the Reg Driver Visitor Center.

Children’s Play Areas:

The Children’s Playground and the Children’s Orchard are located adjacent to each other at the top of the hill above the Reg Driver Visitor Centre. Click on these from the dropdown menus for more information.
